Richmond MayFest takes place every early May Bank Holiday with loads of great music, dancing and storytelling in and around Richmond Castle and Richmond town centre.
Many events are totally free!
And, as a community festival, local residents (DL9, DL10 and DL11) get a discount on all ticketed events, as well as free admission to Richmond Castle on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Just a few highlights to look forward to in 2025
Buskers’ Saturday - supported by the family of the young musician Nell Cline Smith who loved performing on stage to large audiences and in the streets. She also loved visiting Richmond. Find out more here.

MayFest Parade on Monday morning - make something to wear or carry in the Parade at MayFest Makers craft sessions at Richmondshire Museum on Saturday and Sunday - free admission for DL9, DL10 and DL11 residents!
