The Richmond on Swale Morris Men are holding their annual Day of Dance with guest sides from across the region, so expect morris sides popping up all over the place!

Plus loads more dancing of many different kinds (and music of course).

Locals - don’t forget that DL9, DL10 and DL11 residents get free admission to Richmond Castle all weekend - just bring proof of address.

St Mary’s Organ Recital for MayFest, 4pm

Did you know St Mary’s Parish Church in Richmond has a most remarkable organ? It’s considered to be one of the finest parish organs in. the country, built by Harrison& Harrison of Durham and installed in 1912. It works as it was built to work - no electricity here! Enjoy this wonderful instrument played by Andrew Christer, “one of the most sensitive and versatile musicians in the North East, and one of its foremost organ virtuosos”. More information here. This year our Ceilidh takes place in the congenial surroundings of the Richmond School Sixth Form Hall, and our band are the amazing Blind Panic Ceilidh Band - back by popular demand! There will be a cash bar.
